Children
ArtPrize ended last night. One of the highlights for me was interacting with the children who came into my venue. I suspect many of the families who chose to see a visual translation of the Bible were homeschoolers. As moms and dads ushered in their families, the children would run up to my paintings and point at various scenes. I’d help them along, showing them Jesus in his blue outfit, asking them if they knew the name of the big sea or the special city. It was a delight to see them recognize Jesus being baptized or the triumphal entry of Palm Sunday.
Many people commented on the Acts painting because this year Bible Study Fellowship is studying Acts—at all age levels. I would love for BSF to use my materials to give their members a visual tour and overview of the whole book. That is my prayer—that others would discover my work so it can be seen and used to learn the Bible stories, not so attention is drawn to me. I am simply a tool in God’s hand.
